A vehicle wrap covers all or most of a vehicle in film, either printed with a full design or in a solid colour-change finish. Wraps turn fleets into high-impact advertising and, unlike a respray, can be removed to return the vehicle to its original paint.
Printed wraps use cast wrap vinyl with air-release adhesive, printed and then protected with a matching cast laminate. Colour-change films come ready-made in gloss, matt, satin, metallic, chrome and textured finishes, and are popular for private cars as well as commercial fleets. Both are made to stretch and conform over curves, recesses and rivets without lifting.
When choosing wrap materials, look at the film’s conformability, how long it is warranted to last outdoors and whether it removes cleanly. Make sure the film and laminate are designed to work together, and check that your inks are approved for the film. Installation skill is critical, so look for suppliers who offer training and technical support.
