Decals and part graphics are the most common vehicle work, from a name and phone number on a van door to full fleet livery panels. They cost far less than a full wrap and can be updated easily when details change.
Lettering and logos are usually cut from coloured vinyl, while printed decals carry full-colour designs and are laminated for protection. Polymeric films suit flat panels, and cast films are needed where graphics cross rivets, curves or recesses. Specialist products include reflective and Chapter 8 chevron kits for road and emergency vehicles, perforated one-way vision films for rear windows, and magnetic signs for vehicles that need branding only some of the time.
When choosing materials, match the film’s life to how long the vehicle will carry the graphics, and check it will come off cleanly when the vehicle is sold or returned at the end of a lease. For reflective and chevron work, make sure the products meet the regulations for the vehicle’s use.
