swissQprint America marks 10th anniversary with new Illinois HQ

swissQprint celebrates ten years in North America by opening a new 2,300-square-metre headquarters and showroom near Chicago.

swissQprint has opened a newly constructed headquarters for its North American operations in West Dundee, Illinois. The launch of the purpose-built site coincides with the tenth anniversary of the subsidiary company, swissQprint America, marking a decade of direct market presence across the United States and Canada.

The company hosted a dedicated open house event on 23 and 24 June 2026 to celebrate the double milestone. The transition to the larger site near Chicago is designed to establish the necessary infrastructure to support a growing North American customer base whilst driving long-term market development for the brand’s flatbed and roll-to-roll inkjet printing systems.

Kilian Hintermann, CEO of swissQprint, said, ‘We firmly believe in the potential of the North American market’. Hintermann added that the US subsidiary has grown into a key pillar of the wider group over the past decade, and the new building lays the foundation to provide regional clients with stronger technical support.

Covering an area of approximately 2,300 square metres, the new facility more than doubles the physical footprint of the company’s previous American base. The core of the building features a spacious showroom where prospective buyers can view the manufacturer’s latest printing lines operating in a live production environment. Additionally, the building houses an expanded technical competence centre dedicated to engineering training courses, machinery servicing and preventative maintenance work. Warehouse capacities have also been scaled significantly to secure a more reliable, localised supply of spare parts and printing consumables for North American print service providers.

Whilst the company maintains its global headquarters and central manufacturing operations in Switzerland, it relies on a network of six international subsidiaries in Germany, Belgium, Spain, the United Kingdom, Japan and the USA to handle direct sales and technical servicing. The business currently employs around 220 staff worldwide, with 22 specialists now operating from the expanded Illinois site.
