Greens the Signmakers has achieved a major milestone in its nationwide corporate partnership with automotive and leisure retailer Halfords, successfully completing signage installations at over 100 Garage Services branches. The extensive rebranding programme forms a key part of Halfords’ ongoing capital investment into its vehicle servicing estate, merging existing Halfords Autocentres and acquired National Tyres branches under a single, unified identity.

The logistical footprint of the project spanned the entirety of the United Kingdom, stretching from Fort William in the Scottish Highlands down to Canterbury in Kent. To execute the rollout efficiently, the signmaker’s project management team coordinated closely with main construction contractors, ensuring that the installation of new visual branding aligned precisely with broader site refurbishment schedules and caused minimal disruption to daily garage operations.

The physical manufacturing scope required tailored solutions for three distinct site formats, which included updating legacy Halfords stores, fully converting National Tyres branches and creating combined hybrid centres. For the exterior branding, Greens manufactured and installed bespoke folded aluminium tray fascia signs. These architectural elements were finished with durable powder coatings and high-specification vinyl graphics, applied across main building elevations, shop fronts and existing roadside totem structures to maintain structural and visual continuity across the diverse estate.

Internally, the company supplied a comprehensive suite of customer-facing components fabricated at its own production facility. These elements included tension-frame fabric graphics, corporate poster frames and bespoke television stands designed to modernise the customer reception and waiting areas.

Lawrence Green, Managing Director at Greens the Signmakers, said, ‘Large national rollouts are where our project management and manufacturing teams really come into their own. Completing more than 100 Garage Services sites is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved, and we’re proud to have supported Halfords as they continue to evolve their retail and service offering across the UK’.

The completion of the 100-site milestone highlights the company’s capacity for handling complex, large-scale multi-site retail rebranding contracts, drawing on more than sixty years of manufacturing experience within the British commercial signage market.
