Founded at a kitchen table in 2006, the £3 million Leeds print specialist marks two decades of commercial growth and sustainable investment
Leeds-based Zebra Print Group is celebrating 20 years in business, marking two decades since its founding on 11 September 2006. What began as a kitchen-table start-up in Aberford has grown into a £3 million turnover operation running from a 21,000 sq ft facility in West Yorkshire.
Established originally as Zebra Print Management by the late David Storr, the company initially focused on producing technical manuals for Pioneer Electronics. Following a rebrand in September 2025 to reflect its evolution into a full-service provider, the family-run business is now led by Storr’s daughter, Managing Director Samantha Overton, who took the helm in September 2024.

Under Overton’s leadership, the firm has continued its commercial expansion, completing over 2,300 projects during the 2024/25 financial year while maintaining a 100 per cent customer retention rate. The business has also invested in site sustainability, installing 88 solar panels at its Leeds facility to generate roughly 48MWh of renewable energy annually.
Commenting on the milestone, Managing Director Samantha Overton said, “Reaching 20 years is a huge achievement for Zebra and one that means an incredible amount to me personally. My dad started the business from a kitchen table with a clear belief that great print should come with great service, and those values are still at the heart of Zebra today.”
She added, “We’ve been through an enormous amount of change over the past two decades, from advances in print technology and changing customer needs to our own growth and evolution as a business, but we’ve never lost sight of the relationships that got us here.”
The anniversary follows recent regional recognition, with Overton being named Manufacturing Leader and overall Leader of the Year at the Yorkshire Leadership Awards earlier this year.
Overton concluded, “There are customers and relationships that have been part of Zebra’s story for many years, and that loyalty is something we never take for granted. Twenty years in business is an achievement for the whole Zebra family. Dad would have been immensely proud of what the team has achieved, and we’re determined to build on the foundations he created as we head into our next 20 years.”
