The alliance will introduce a co-branded line of speciality coatings and adhesives for narrow web label and packaging converters.
Sun Chemical and Cyngient have entered into a strategic partnership to develop specialised coatings, inks, and adhesives for narrow web label and package printing converters. The companies will formally introduce the collaboration at LOUPE Americas 2026, held from 15 to 17 September at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
At the centre of the alliance is a new co-branded product portfolio combining high-performance adhesives and advanced functional coatings. The joint offering aims to assist label converters in achieving premium print quality, tactile embellishment effects, and consistent on-press performance across demanding narrow web applications.
The agreement pairs the ink manufacturer’s global R&D infrastructure and technical reach with the coating specialist’s focus on custom formulations and rapid-turnaround support. Key development areas include tactile finishes and embellishment technologies designed to help packaging converters meet brand requirements for shelf differentiation.
