Skandacor gave attendees a firsthand look at what finishing and embellishment can add beyond the press at PRINTING United Expo 2026 in Las Vegas.
Skandacor wrapped up PRINTING United Expo 2026 after three days of live demonstrations, customer conversations, and hands-on discussions around print finishing and embellishment. With multiple systems running across lamination, digital foil, embellishment, die cutting, and trimming, Skandacor gave attendees a firsthand look at what finishing can add beyond the press.

The booth was designed to show more than individual machines. Visitors could follow printed pieces through different finishing processes and see how multiple technologies can work together to create new applications, streamline production, and add more value to the print already coming off their presses.
The equipment on display covered a range of finishing applications, with several systems drawing strong interest throughout the show. The FINISHpro 3D 1623 drew steady attention with its raised textures, dimensional spot UV, and digital foil capabilities on sheets up to 16 by 23 inches, while the LAMpro Cheetah S15 also attracted a steady crowd. Furthermore, the FINISHpro 2029 AF Max demonstrated digital die cutting for specialty and shape-cut applications.
Skandacor’s booth was also a featured stop on the Embellishment Technology Tour, powered by Taktiful in strategic collaboration with PRINTING United Alliance. As part of the Digital Production track, tour groups came through the booth to see the finishing systems and applications firsthand. The proFX package generated particularly strong interest during the tour, with attendees stopping to ask questions and returning later to explore how the technology could be applied to their own production.
Brad Drever, CEO of Skandacor, commented: “The response at the show reinforced something we’ve seen for some time: print businesses are looking for more ways to get value out of the work they’re already producing. Whether that’s through embellishment, specialty finishing, or bringing another process in-house, the interest is there. Our job is to help them figure out what makes sense for their operation.”
Conversations at the booth moved beyond individual equipment demonstrations and toward how finishing could fit into print shops’ existing production. The strong booth traffic translated into business opportunities, with Skandacor representatives closing several deals during the show. One major theme was the potential to bring more finishing work in-house, making possibilities more tangible, from premium embellished pieces to specialty and short-run work.
Jon Congdon, President of Skandacor, added: “Printing United always enables Skandacor to gain a better understanding of our clients’ specialty applications and creative embellishment aspirations. We can then demonstrate our machinery live and showcase what can be achieved with various applications. It also provides clarity through real-time discussions about the creative print embellishments Skandacor equipment can bring to their production floor and product offering.”
