Label and sticker specialist Handy Labels has become the first UK business to invest in Konica Minolta’s new AccurioLabel 231 following an official signing at The Print Show 2026.
Konica Minolta Business Solutions UK has announced label and sticker specialist Handy Labels as the first company in the UK to place an order for its new AccurioLabel 231 digital label press. Martyn Kilford, Founder of Handy Labels, visited the Konica Minolta stand at The Print Show 2026 at the NEC in Birmingham for the official signing alongside Alex Parkin, a director of Handy Brand’s Employee Ownership Trust.

Established by Kilford in 2007 to address a gap in the market for small to medium run labels and stickers, Handy Labels has grown into an employee-owned business serving more than 44,000 returning customers, ranging from hobbyists and entrepreneurs through to multi-national corporate brands.
The AccurioLabel 231 was launched last month to help small and medium-sized label converters increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve profitability. Once installed at the company’s facility in Portishead, Bristol, the device will enable Handy Labels to benefit from its exceptional print quality and intelligent automation, helping the team handle increasing job volumes with consistent reliability.
In addition to maintaining high quality standards, Handy Labels is trusted by its growing national customer base for fast turnaround speeds, committing to dispatching products within 48 hours of proof approval. Operating at speeds of up to 23.4 metres per minute, the AccurioLabel 231 will ensure the business continues to meet customer expectations as demand scales.
Martyn Kilford, Founder of Handy Labels, stated that the business is proud to be the first UK customer for the AccurioLabel 231, a device developed to the exact needs of a business like Handy Labels. He added that since day one, the company has promised customers great value products and service without compromising quality, and that the new device from Konica Minolta ensures they can continue to honour that commitment as they scale and diversify to meet customer needs.
Malcolm Smith, Category Manager for Professional Print at Konica Minolta Business Solutions UK, added that the company is delighted to welcome Handy Labels as trailblazers for the AccurioLabel 231 in the UK. He noted that the device, which received its UK premiere at The Print Show, generated significant interest from visitors eager to learn how they could expand their offerings by introducing digital label printing into their portfolios.
