Mutoh Europe has announced the launch of UH71, a new rigid-type LED-UV ink developed to deliver highly durable output across a broad range of rigid substrates.
Mutoh Europe has announced the launch of UH71, a new rigid-type LED-UV ink initially developed for the XpertJet 1462UF flatbed printer. The manufacturer confirmed that the new ink will subsequently become available for the XpertJet 461UF and XpertJet 661UF, further expanding Mutoh’s rigid-type LED-UV offering across its flatbed range.

The new ink is specifically designed for applications including customised goods, novelty items, industrial parts, promotional products, retail displays, and signage. It offers broad compatibility with substrates such as PET, PC, ABS, PS, PVC, PMMA, and aluminium.
Combining strong adhesion, high durability, chemical resistance, low odour, and tack-free output, the UH71 supports the reliable production of both decorative and functional print applications. The six-colour configuration (CMYK, White, and Clear) includes a highly transparent clear ink, enabling premium varnish effects as well as tactile applications such as Braille and raised print.
A key part of the UH71 positioning is its safety and environmental formulation. The ink has been developed without the use of TPO, without substances classified as SVHCs (Substances of Very High Concern), and without substances classified as CMR Category 1 (Carcinogenic, Mutagenic, or Reprotoxic). Reflecting Mutoh’s focus on product development that balances print performance with increased attention to workplace considerations, the UH71 ink is also fully UL GREENGUARD Gold certified.
With the addition of the UH71, Mutoh further broadens its LED-UV ink range. Sitting alongside the existing US61 LED-UV ink, the new formulation gives users a clearer choice between ink types optimised for either rigid or flexible application needs.
Available in 800ml ink bags and 220ml cassettes, Mutoh Europe will officially present the UH71 ink at the upcoming FESPA Global Print Expo 2026 in Barcelona.
