Brother and Mutoh have confirmed both brand identities and dealer agreements will continue across EMEA.

In a joint statement addressed to dealers and customers, the management of Brother Internationale Industriemaschinen GmbH (Bimh) and Mutoh Europe nv outlined the core principles governing the regional merger. The leadership confirmed that both brand names will be retained, with product development and new hardware launches planned under both badges.

The joint management team stated, “We will continue to operate under both the Brother and Mutoh brands for the foreseeable future. We remain committed to developing and launching new products under both brands, leveraging the most suitable technologies and capabilities to address the diverse needs of our customers and applications.”

The statement also sought to reassure distribution networks across Europe, confirming that dealer contracts remain protected. “No existing dealer or partner relationship will be changed or terminated as a result of the acquisition. We are working on strengthening our dealer network and partner programme, taking into consideration existing partnerships, market coverage, each partner’s strengths, commitment to our brands, and potential for future growth.”

By bringing the two businesses together, the group aims to combine Brother’s direct-to-garment and industrial sewing equipment with Mutoh’s wide-format sign, display, and direct-to-object inkjet technologies. The management teams confirmed that further updates will be shared across the region as operational plans develop.
