Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd has hosted 30 pupils at its Client Engagement Centre to highlight career opportunities within the professional print industry.
Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd has announced that it hosted 30 pupils and their teachers during its latest Young People in Print (YPIP) event. Taking place at the company’s recently expanded Client Engagement Centre (CEC) in Houghton Regis, the event enabled Year 10 children from a local school to discover the wide range of opportunities a career in the print industry can offer.

Supported by YPIP, Konica Minolta prepared a packed agenda aimed at showcasing how a career in print provides a way to express creativity, utilise the latest technology, learn about the commercial world, and make a significant contribution to wider society alongside a team of like-minded people.
During the event, pupils went on a print journey from concept through to creation. Attendees got hands-on with professional Konica Minolta presses and discovered how everyday printed materials are manufactured. Furthermore, the children used their creativity to design a poster capturing their experience. The Konica Minolta team professionally printed these designs for the students to take back and share with their peers, extending the impact of the initiative beyond the classroom.
In addition to providing insight into the world of professional print, the team explained the various pathways available for young people taking their first step on the career ladder. These routes include the company’s successful apprenticeship programme, which is open to school and college leavers. Throughout the day, pupils had the opportunity to listen and speak to members of the Konica Minolta team who have successfully progressed through these very routes.
Earlier this year, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd was awarded Top Employer status by the Top Employers Institute for a ninth consecutive year. This recognition highlights how the business nurtures talent through apprenticeships, training programmes, and initiatives focused on helping people develop their skills in different areas of the business.
