Speaking about the win, Stuart Fox, President and CEO of Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems, said, “Red Dot is a globally established mark of product quality and design and we’re thrilled that the Kongsberg Ultimate has been recognised in this way. The development team were set a challenging brief and we are honoured that the Kongsberg Ultimate has been recognised with this prestigious award. From its material selection – encased in more durable and sustainable aluminium – to its simplified and intuitive design, the Kongsberg Ultimate has been carefully engineered to answer the unique needs of display and corrugated producers. Not only does it deliver more precision, speed and safety, it also enhances efficiency and enables better real-time quality control, providing businesses with a competitive advantage.”

The independent Red Dot Jury assesses entries based on four key principles of good design: the quality of function, the quality of the product’s aesthetics, the quality of use and the quality of responsibility (durability and sustainability).

Since its initial launch just over a year ago, the Kongsberg Ultimate, a digital cutting table dedicated to high volume multi-batch production in the display and corrugated industries, has won a number of accolades. These include the PRINTING United Alliance 2024 Pinnacle Product award and the EDP Best Wide Format Cutting Solution award.
