Entwistle Group invests in Fujifilm Revoria Press PC1120 and Plockmatic finishing

Manchester-based Entwistle Group has boosted its high-value digital print capability by investing in a Fujifilm Revoria Press PC1120 and an inline Plockmatic booklet maker.

Entwistle Group has boosted its high-value digital print capability following a major hardware investment. The third-generation family print business has installed a new Fujifilm Revoria Press PC1120 alongside an in-line booklet maker from Plockmatic, making the company joint-first in the UK to install the advanced finishing system.

Entwistle Group has invested in a new Fujifilm Revoria Press PC1120 and inline Plockmatic booklet maker.

Founded in 1899, Entwistle Group currently employs 54 staff and operates across four sites in Manchester, Bradford, Preston, and Warrington. The new press and finishing solutions, which were installed in December 2025, were secured through Jet Tech, one of Fujifilm’s largest European sales partners.

Jason Richards, Managing Director of Entwistle Group, first saw the Revoria Press PC1120 in action at The Print Show 2025. While attending with no initial intention of purchasing hardware, he was impressed by the machine’s use of speciality colours. After visiting Fujifilm’s customer innovation centre in Luton to test the company’s own files, it quickly became clear that the PC1120 was a superior alternative to their existing setup.

“When I did the numbers, it was a cost-neutral scenario for us; it was almost a no-brainer,” explains Richards. “We could get the latest piece of kit, without increasing our costs, with no compromise to quality. We bought it with six colours because we knew straight away we had to have the pink and the white. But within two weeks, we won some new business that forced our hand, and convinced us that we had to have the silver as well.”

The long sheet capability and the ease of integrating finishing solutions were also decisive factors. Supplied and integrated by Jet Tech, the inline Plockmatic booklet maker has transformed the company’s production workflow.

“What really made me sign on the dotted line was the fact that we could do an A4 long sheet,” Richards adds. “We could do a 305mm square booklet made through the system, finished in one go, and it just worked. Previously, that’s a job that we’d have had to outsource, but now it’s produced in-house, giving us full production control. The booklet maker’s slitting feature has been extremely useful for us as it automatically trims, square-backs and staples in one go as it comes through.”

Jet Tech played a central role throughout the evaluation, installation, and early production stages. Andrew Crane, Director at Jet Tech, notes that the distributor focuses on providing end-to-end solutions, including workflow, finishing, and vital business development support. This is further enhanced by Fujifilm’s new “Aspire” programme, designed to help customers produce higher-margin applications using speciality colours.

Spencer Green, Head of Print-on-Demand at Fujifilm UK, concludes: “With the Revoria Press PC1120 now fully integrated into production, Entwistle Group has strengthened its ability to deliver high-end, short-run, personalised applications, while reducing costs and improving workflow. The Revoria Press PC1120 offers exceptional performance and versatility through its six-colour capability and working alongside partners such as Jet Tech ensures that our customers receive the expertise and guidance needed to maximise their potential.”
