Bally Print sees first installation of Vivid Razar

Northern Ireland commercial printer Bally Print has become the first company to install the Vivid Razar all-in-one system

Bally Print has seen the first installation of the Razar finishing system from Vivid. Based in Northern Ireland, the commercial print company invested in the new technology to combine its separate post-press operations into a single system, reducing both the floor space and the manual labour required by standalone machines.

The Razar system brings together raised UV spot printing, digital cutting, creasing, and automatic taping within one integrated workflow. For Bally Print, this configuration allows the production of tactile marketing materials, short-run packaging, and custom signage in a single pass. By consolidating these steps, the business can handle complex jobs from start to finish on one machine, eliminating the need to transfer printed sheets between different finishing stations.

Aaron Klewchuk (right), Director at Bally Print, stated that the integrated cutting and UV printing capabilities of the Razar will simplify the firm’s short-run work.

Aaron Klewchuk, Director at Bally Print, explained that the multi-functional capability of the new machine will change how the company approaches its short-run work. “I can only describe our new Razar as the Swiss Army Knife of print finishing, this is going to be massive for us,” Klewchuk said. He noted that being able to offer both raised UV effects and precise digital cutting on a single device gives the business a distinct practical advantage when handling intricate customer orders.

The decision to take the first machine off the production line fits with Bally Print’s ongoing strategy of upgrading its hardware to increase efficiency. By working directly with Vivid on this initial deployment, the company has been able to establish a more streamlined workflow early on, turning the manufacturer’s engineering updates into direct services for its clients.

Lewis Evans, Commercial Director at Vivid, confirmed that the Northern Irish printer provided the right environment for the system’s live debut. Evans said, “By bringing multiple processes together, we’re helping print businesses work faster, reduce handling, and unlock more creative applications. Partnering with Bally Print for this first installation was a natural fit.”
