UFABRIK appoints TSEKMERES GS as Greek distributor

Ufabrik appoints Tsekmeres GS as its Greek distributor, expanding its European textile network to supply SEG and display graphics.

Digital textile brand Ufabrik has expanded its European footprint into Greece, appointing Athens-based supplier Tsekmeres GS as its official national distributor. The agreement brings Ufabrik’s range of printable fabrics to Greek sign makers and display producers, focusing on materials for silicone edge graphics (SEG) across UV, Latex, and dye-sublimation print setups.

Tsekmeres GS has supplied the Greek print industry since 1968, distributing production machinery, inks, and substrates across the country. The company has represented Fujifilm Specialty Ink Systems for more than 50 years, alongside M&R screen equipment and Atexco digital textile printers. The partnership grew out of Tsekmeres GS’s membership in the Igepa Group, whose European partners recommended Ufabrik when the distributor began looking for reliable fabrics for tension frame displays.

General Manager at Tsekmeres GS, Padelis Tsekmeres, commented, “We wanted to work with a manufacturer that could deliver the quality and consistency required for SEG applications. Ufabrik was recommended by our colleagues within Igepa, who have had very positive experiences with its textiles. We are still in the early stages of introducing the range into Greece, but the feedback from our European colleagues has given us considerable confidence in the products.”

While UV and Latex technologies still dominate wide-format production in Greece, dye-sublimation printing is gaining ground for retail backlights and exhibition displays. To ensure reliable supply, Tsekmeres GS maintains around 1,500 product lines in local stock. Its field technical specialists will also provide on-site support to help customers calibrate media feed, adjust ink limits, and create custom colour profiles for each fabric.

The deal follows a busy year of European expansion for Ufabrik, with recent distribution partnerships signed in France, Iberia, Finland, Poland, Hungary, and the Baltic states. European Sales Director at Ufabrik, Monika Mourao, added, “Tsekmeres GS brings an extraordinary depth of industry experience to this partnership. Its longstanding relationships with leading manufacturers, extensive knowledge of the Greek market and established customer base make it a valuable addition to our European distribution network. Greece is an interesting market for us, particularly as textile printing continues to develop. We look forward to working closely with Padelis and his team to establish Ufabrik in the region and build on the opportunities ahead.”
