Summa Launches 160×250 cm F1625 digital flatbed cutter at FESPA 2025

Summa announce the official debut of its latest flatbed cutter – the F1625 – at FESPA 2025 in Berlin. Specifically engineered for wide-format printing professionals, the F1625 is a 160×250 cm (5×8 ft) flatbed cutting solution that combines ease-of-use, precision, and modular versatility, all while delivering solid value for money. It is the ideal format for handling both rigid and roll media.

With a 160 x 250 cm (5×8 ft) working area, the F1625 handles both flexible and rigid media, including vinyl, PVC, acrylics, foam board, and ACM, making it an ideal all-rounder for demanding production environments. Designed to accommodate full board sheets without the need for additional feeding systems, this cutter brings speed and simplicity to every job.

“The F1625 is all about giving professionals what they need most: versatility, reliability, and smart automation in a compact footprint,” says Randi Kerkaert, Product Manager at Summa. “We’ve integrated our signature features – like Automatic Device Calibration, tandem workflow, tool recognition, etc.– into a format that maximises knife-in time and streamlines every aspect of the workflow. It’s a true powerhouse that fits right into existing production environments.”

Featuring Automatic Device Calibration, Automatic Tool Recognition, and GoProduce software, it minimises setup time and operator error. The intelligent Tandem Workflow and Dedicated Operator Zone keep production moving by allowing loading and unloading during active cutting, resulting in up to 50% productivity gains.

Summa’s GoProduce Flatbed Edition software automates material recognition, tool settings, and job sequencing. With features like barcode-driven workflows, rapid camera-based mark detection, and smart sorting capabilities, users can minimise errors. It even enables 24/7 unmanned operation for roll-based workflows.

Like all models in the F Series, the F1625’s modular design is capable of handling three tools at the same time. Its swappable tool system allows for kiss-cutting, creasing, routing, and more – all supported by Summa’s extensive range of professional-grade tools and accessories. Whether you are producing signage, packaging, or displays, the F1625 is a smart investment that evolves with your business.

“The F1625 and its compact bed size were the missing link in our portfolio for sign, display and packaging,” adds Summa Managing Director Geert Pierloot “With the F1625, we’re meeting that demand head-on, offering a format that strikes the perfect balance between footprint and productivity. It’s the Summa flatbed cutter wide-format professionals have been waiting for.”

Key Highlights of the F1625:

  • Working area: 160 x 250 cm (63 x 98 in)
  • For wide-format printing professionals
  • Ideal for both roll and sheet-based workflows
  • Operator-friendly interface with Summa’s GoProduce software
  • ROI in just 24–36 months with access to higher-margin services
