Roland DG has launched two new industrial UV printing solutions, the VersaObject IO-300 and RC-300 Series, to accelerate on-demand production and mass customisation.
Roland DG has announced the launch of the VersaObject IO-300 and VersaObject RC-300 Series, two new industrial UV printing solutions designed to help businesses meet the growing demand for high-mix, short-run manufacturing and product decoration. The launches strengthen Roland DG’s industrial direct-to-object printing portfolio, providing manufacturers, decorators, print service providers, and packaging producers with new ways to deliver customised products and respond faster to customer demands.
Together, the two solutions support a broad range of direct-to-object printing applications while addressing distinct production needs. The IO-300 delivers high-precision UV flatbed printing for industrial parts, product decoration, and custom goods across rigid and flexible substrates. Complementing this, the RC-300 Series is designed for direct cylindrical printing onto bottles, tumblers, drinkware, packaging, promotional products, and other shaped objects.
Across industries, businesses face increasing pressure to deliver greater product variety and shorter lead times. Traditional analogue production methods often struggle to meet these requirements economically, particularly for small-lot production or mass customisation projects. The VersaObject IO-300 is engineered for industrial parts decoration where accuracy and repeatability are critical. Equipped with newly developed print heads and advanced dot control, it delivers exceptional image quality alongside production speeds of up to 3.5 square metres per hour in standard CMYK mode. Its advanced multi-layer printing capability improves alignment accuracy and production efficiency. The printer supports a wide range of materials including polycarbonate, acrylic, glass, and wood, with a generous 770 x 515 mm print area accommodating a broad range of production requirements.
Complementing the flatbed is the VersaObject RC-300 Series, a helical printer specifically designed for direct-to-object printing across a wide range of cylindrical shapes. Available in two models, the RC-300 and RC-300c, these LED UV inkjet printers are ideal for short runs and premium customisation. They enable users to print high-quality graphics directly around objects with tapered and irregular geometries, eliminating many setup complexities traditionally associated with such decoration. With production speeds capable of printing a medium-sized object in approximately 60 seconds, it offers an efficient solution for seasonal campaigns and limited editions.
