Summa has introduced four new F Series Vantage flatbed cutters, including the F1832, F3220, F3232, and the dedicated F1625 CF carbon fibre model.
Summa has expanded its F Series Vantage flatbed cutting platform with the introduction of four new models engineered for high-volume signage, packaging, textile, and industrial manufacturing applications. Summa has introduced the F1832, F3220, and F3232 large-format cutters alongside the F1625 CF, a specialized configuration developed specifically for dry carbon fibre processing.
Summa has constructed the Vantage platform on a rigid steel chassis designed for continuous industrial production. The hardware delivers 200 N of vertical and horizontal cutting force, acceleration up to 1G, and incorporates a 3.7 kW (5 HP) HF router operating at speeds up to 60,000 RPM. High jerk values maintain maximum velocity across short tool paths, enabling finishing productivity increases of up to 40 per cent across commercial print and industrial manufacturing environments.

Summa Managing Director, Geert Pierloot, commented, “Businesses are not short of ambition; they are short of capacity.”
Summa Chief Executive Officer, Stijn Henderickx, added, “But production is no longer defined by speed alone. What matters is how quickly you can move from one completed job to the next. The F Series Vantage combines unseen automation, operator-friendly interfaces and an optimized tool library to take human error out of the equation, offering productivity gains of 40% and more, from sign shops to industrial floors.”
Summa has integrated an open automation architecture powered by GoConnect software and a universal API. This modular interface allows operators to connect third-party robotic loading systems, foot pedals, vision alignment cameras, and external production machinery without relying on proprietary software environments. Additional automation capabilities include MiriSys nesting software, barcode-driven job retrieval, tandem vacuum zone operation, and a Heavy Duty Roll Support (HDRS) unit engineered to handle textile and vinyl rolls up to 200 kg.
Summa has tailored each of the four new models to meet specific operational requirements:
- Summa F1832 handles single-sheet production across full 1,525 x 3,050mm (5 x 10 ft) boards and aluminium composite material (ACM) plates in a single pass, matching wide-format print output up to 1,840mm.
- Summa F3220 targets soft signage and textile processing using a rotary tool module running at twice the speed of previous generations, combined with Heavy Duty Roll Support for wrinkle-free feeding.
- Summa F3232 provides double-sheet production using twin vacuum zones and tandem operator modes to maximize continuous material throughput.
- Summa F1625 CF provides dry carbon fibre cutting through protective hardware engineering, including conformal-coated circuit boards, shielded module connectors, and an electrical cabinet maintained under negative pressure to repel conductive airborne dust.
Summa Managing Director, Geert Pierloot, concluded, “Cutting delivers higher throughput, cleaner edges, and lower operational costs. Only when materials demand it should operators step up to routing. This approach enables customers to consistently achieve the optimal balance between speed, quality, and productivity.”
Summa has designed the F Series Vantage platform with GoProduce operator software, Automatic Device Calibration (ADC), automated tool recognition, and ultrasonic media thickness sensing to streamline onboarding and lower setup times for new operators.
