Roland DG expands D-EA2 multi-colour ink compatibility to the TrueVIS XP-640

New D-EA2 ink compatibility delivers a broader colour gamut, including Red, Orange, and Green, while significantly reducing running costs for Print Service Providers.

Roland DG Corporation has announced the expanded availability of its D-EA2 multi-colour eco-solvent inks, which are now compatible with the TrueVIS XP-640 printer. This development is designed to make premium print technology more accessible for price-sensitive markets* by offering expanded colour capability, cost competitiveness, and the reliability of genuine OEM ink.

Ryugo Nimura, Executive Officer, Global Sales and Marketing Division at Roland DG, says, “By expanding D-EA2 multi-colour compatibility to our TrueVIS XP-640, we’re making premium print quality more accessible than ever, especially for customers in emerging markets. This upgrade delivers the wider colour gamut and reliability customers expect from TrueVIS, while dramatically reducing running costs. It’s the perfect time for print providers to step up in quality, capability, and confidence.”

Key Benefits for Print Service Providers

Initially launched for DGXPRESS printers in 2025, the extension of the D-EA2 ink line to the TrueVIS XP-640 helps businesses achieve brand-accurate colour output at a more affordable running cost. Advantages include:

  • Expanded colour gamut: The enhanced ink set features CMYK plus Red, Orange, Green, and Light Black.
  • Cost efficiency: Users can achieve up to 40% savings compared to TrueVIS TH inks, making advanced print performance more financially accessible.
  • Enhanced print quality: The addition of Red, Orange, and Green helps match complex brand palettes, while Light Black improves graininess and photographic tonal gradation.
  • Guaranteed reliability: Choosing genuine Roland DG ink maintains full OEM warranty coverage, ensuring long-term reliability and stable device performance.

Target Applications

The multi-colour D-EA2 configuration enables sharper colour reproduction, smoother gradients, and increased vibrancy. It is specifically designed for businesses producing brand-critical graphics, such as signage, labels, vehicle graphics, and retail displays.
