Epson launches SureColor SC-F20000

Epson announces the SureColor SC-F20000 industrial dye-sublimation printer for sportswear and fashion.

Epson has introduced the SureColor SC-F20000, a 1.95-metre wide industrial dye-sublimation printer developed for high-volume sportswear, fashion, and soft signage production. The machine will be demonstrated publicly for the first time at FESPA Global Print Expo 2026 in Barcelona from 19 to 22 May, where it will be featured on Stand C75 in Hall 3 within a live textile workflow.

The SC-F20000 is the first Epson dye-sublimation model to be equipped with eight PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads. This configuration allows the machine to achieve production speeds of up to approximately 306 square metres per hour in its fastest settings, whilst maintaining a minimum print resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. The integration of Epson Precision Dot technologies, which include multi-layer halftones, lookup tables (LUT), and Microweave, helps ensure tonal consistency across multi-head setups.

To support extended production cycles, the printer is equipped with a 10-litre ink system that features an automatic “Hot Swap” ink switching capability. This allows an empty ink supply to be replaced without halting the printing process, reducing operator intervention during heavy print runs. For print service providers handling large-scale orders or heavier media types, Epson also offers an optional Jumbo Roll Solution to enhance bulk roll handling.

Chris Davies, from the Commercial & Industrial printing division at Epson Europe, said, “FESPA is the ideal setting to show how Epson’s latest textile innovations translate into reliable, real-world production. With the SureColor SC-F20000, we’re giving high-volume producers a new pathway to combine speed, consistency and robust handling, supporting everything from high-quality sportswear, fashion, homewares to scalable textile production.”

The machine incorporates several features designed to counter the common challenges of high-speed textile production. It includes automated dust-reduction mechanisms, such as an intake fan and a media cleaner, which work together to minimise dust accumulation and mitigate the risk of nozzle clogging. Additionally, a double-sided heating and drying system is integrated into the chassis to accelerate ink drying, minimising ink set-off and fabric wrinkling before take-up.

The SC-F20000 is supplied with Epson Edge Print Pro software to manage image processing and production queues. Epson specialists will be available on the stand in Barcelona to discuss technical specifications, demonstrate live fabric production, and showcase sample applications for the sportswear and interior décor sectors.
