YellowDog adds Color-Logic Visualis3R

Denver-based print and design company YellowDog has added Color-Logic’s Visualis3R to its portfolio to preview and develop specialty-ink designs before production.

Color-Logic has announced that YellowDog has added Visualis3R (V3R) to its portfolio, giving the Denver-based print and design company a new way to preview and develop specialty-ink designs before production. Founded in 2005 by Jenny and Dan Mulligan, YellowDog grew from a print provider serving the Denver market into an integrated design and printing company that combines creative services and production.

Denver-based YellowDog has invested in Color-Logic’s Visualis3R software to preview specialty-ink designs.

The business had previously invested in Color-Logic and Touch7 technology, building on its commitment to digital tools that expand creative possibilities. While Dan Mulligan had initially planned to simply trial Visualis3R, his positive experience with existing Color-Logic software led him to purchase the new tool outright.

Dan Mulligan commented: “I had planned to trial Visualis3R, but based on my experience with Color-Logic and Touch7, I decided to purchase it outright. I was confident it would improve my workflow, and it has. V3R has changed how I work with specialty inks, letting me move between my design tools and V3R to quickly preview a print-accurate version of the work in progress, experiment with layering, and develop new ideas. Previewing the work on different paper stocks and colors gives me a much clearer understanding of the final printed result before production—no guesswork.”

Visualis3R helps designers visualize specialty-ink effects and explore how designs may appear on different substrates and colors. For YellowDog, the ability to move between design applications and V3R supports a more informed creative process, helping the team assess concepts before they ever reach the press.

Mark Geves, Director of Marketing and Sales at Color-Logic, added: “YellowDog’s experience shows how Visualis3R can fit into a designer’s everyday workflow. By making it easier to preview specialty-ink work on different stocks and colors, V3R helps creative teams explore ideas with greater confidence before production. The V3R software’s ability to create a high-resolution video or image also assists in helping YellowDog market their designs to clients.”
