Founded in 1900 and based in Shaftesbury, Blackmore has built a strong reputation for its commitment to environmental performance. The company states that its “green print” solutions are powered by 100% renewable energy, drawn from a mix of hydro, wind, solar (including the company’s own solar panels), biomass, and landfill gas.

In recent years, Blackmore has made investments to further reduce its carbon footprint. These include energy-efficient print presses, process-less plate technology, and low-energy UV drying. All these efforts are underpinned by the company’s ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

Blackmore is also certified as a Carbon Balanced Printer, delivered by World Land Trust, and offers Carbon-Balanced print. Its sustainability credentials are further strengthened by holding EcoVadis Silver status, placing the company amongst what the organisation states are the top performers globally for environmental responsibility.

By joining Two Sides, Blackmore reinforces its commitment to promoting responsible print practices. As a member, Blackmore will collaborate with other members to advocate for the role of print in a sustainable, circular economy, and to help educate businesses and consumers about how print can contribute responsibly to their communications and environmental goals.

Andrew Robbins, Managing Director of Blackmore, says, “Joining Two Sides UK aligns perfectly with our mission. We have long believed that print can be a force for good; being both sustainable and a high-quality communications medium.” He adds that, together with Two Sides, the company can help more organisations make better informed choices about their printing choices.

Josh Birch, Campaign Manager of Two Sides UK, adds, “We are delighted to welcome Blackmore onboard as members of Two Sides. Their deep environmental commitment and innovation in green printing make them a powerful ally in our efforts to ensure that print remains a sustainable, trusted media. We look forward to working with Blackmore.”

As a member of Two Sides, Blackmore has access to a large library of co-brandable communications tools, consumer research, industry-leading information, sustainability advice, and events.
