William Smith offers updated Avery Dennison MPI 1103 EA film

The Avery Dennison MPI 1103 EA Smart Wrap+ cast film has been re-engineered for lower initial tack and improved repositionability

William Smith Group has introduced the re-engineered Avery Dennison MPI 1103 EA Smart Wrap+ cast film to its digital materials portfolio. Available with immediate effect, the updated 50-micron white cast wrapping film retains its core construction while incorporating a reworked adhesive system engineered to lower initial contact tack and improve repositionability across vehicle wrap and complex display installations.

Designed specifically for demanding wrapping applications on vehicles, fleet cars, vans, trucks, and surfaces featuring deep channels, corrugations, and rivets, the film offers high 3D conformability without requiring incisions or primers. The re-engineered grey adhesive is combined with Avery Dennison’s Easy Apply technology and a revised liner to provide opacity while reducing initial grip upon surface contact. This modification allows installers to slide, align, and reposition graphics with light pressure rather than lifting and reapplying panels, saving application time on warm surfaces and complex contours.

The printable cast film is compatible with major digital ink platforms, including Latex, UV, and Eco-Solvent systems. By reducing panel positioning errors and installation resistance, the updated formulation helps wrap shops minimise material waste, lower offcut volume, and improve job throughput during long-term promotional and fleet wrapping projects.

Head of Marketing at William Smith Group 1832, Lindsay Hutchinson, highlighted the practical advantages for graphic installers, stating: “Every installer has had the moment when the film lands slightly out of position and refuses to move. This version provides a brief window to lift and realign it, and across a full vehicle those seconds add up to real time saved.”

The re-engineered MPI 1103 EA Smart Wrap+ film is available directly from William Smith for immediate dispatch across the United Kingdom.
