Trotec introduces the Speedy Black Line laser production platform, combining Ruby software, automation, and API integration for signage.
Laser specialist Trotec has launched the Speedy Black Line, a workflow-driven laser production platform engineered to integrate job preparation, processing, and production management. Available globally in two models, the Speedy 480 Black Line and Speedy 360 Black Line, the platform connects hardware, Ruby software, automation, and system connectivity for personalisation, print and signage, education, and industrial manufacturing sectors.
Hardware specifications include a 1,248 x 624mm working area on the Speedy 480 and 936 x 624mm on the Speedy 360. Both systems offer CO2, Fiber, and dual-source Flexx configurations, with laser power options up to 120W CO2 and 50W Fiber delivering processing speeds up to 4.32m/s. Machine components are protected by InPack Technology to reduce contamination during operation.
Addressing process efficiency beyond hardware speed, the system incorporates automated features to streamline job setup. The Quick Change Table System facilitates rapid material transitions, while OptiFlow extraction maintains consistent cutting and engraving performance across the working area. For print registration and positioning, Vision Design & Position delivers a live visual preview on the material, while Vision Print & Cut aligns graphics for signage, labels, and promotional items.
Product Marketing Manager at the manufacturer, Petra Berger, highlighted the emphasis on end-to-end integration, commenting, “Laser productivity increasingly depends on the steps before and after the actual laser process. The Speedy Black Line was developed to connect job preparation, positioning and production within one workflow-oriented platform.”
Powered by Ruby software, the platform supports API and Node-RED connectivity, enabling automated data exchange between laser production and external management systems, including ERP, MES, web shops, and order management platforms. The vendor supports the launch with TroCare service programmes, providing preventive maintenance and application assistance.
