Soyang Europe invests in demonstration facility and enhanced technical training to support UK expansion of Platinum Technologies LIYU
Wide format equipment and media supplier Soyang Europe has announced a strategic investment in customer demonstration facilities and technical support infrastructure to drive the growth of Platinum Technologies LIYU print solutions across Great Britain. Building on its recent appointment as official distributor for the regional market, the company is constructing a dedicated showroom at its Accrington headquarters alongside expanding its engineering training programmes.

The new demonstration centre has been designed to mirror the minimalist aesthetic and operational layout of Platinum Technologies LIYU’s European Demo Centre in Düsseldorf, Germany. The facility provides a controlled environment for live machine demonstrations, application testing, and print sample evaluations across a range of high speed production hardware.
Featured hardware within the Accrington facility includes the Platinum Technologies Signature Hybrid, which was introduced at the FESPA Global Print Expo in Barcelona. The hybrid platform operates at speeds up to 350 square metres per hour in high productivity mode, outputting resolutions up to 2400 dpi using CMYK, light cyan, light magenta, white, and specialised neon ink channels.
The showroom also houses the Platinum KCXL+ flatbed UV printer, which features a 3.05 metre by 2.05 metre bed size, media thickness capabilities up to 100 millimetres, and top production speeds of 400 square metres per hour. For roll-to-roll applications, visitors can evaluate the 3.2 metre wide Platinum PCT LED system, which prints at speeds up to 120 square metres per hour for wide format signage, textiles, and interior decor materials.
In addition to hardware installations, Soyang Europe has expanded its internal engineering capabilities through advanced training programmes conducted directly with LIYU technical specialists in Germany. The enhanced engineering team will provide comprehensive after-sales support, installation services, colour profiling, and customer operator training throughout Great Britain.
Chief Executive Officer of Soyang Europe, Mark Mashiter, stated that the investment underlines the firm’s long-term commitment to supplying complete solutions encompassing equipment, application advice, and ongoing servicing. He added that combining innovative hardware platforms with local technical expertise will support print service providers from initial enquiry through to full production deployment.
