Soyang Europe will provide live finishing demonstrations at its new Altham facility from early 2027 following its investment in a Vivid Veloblade Nexus 3016 flatbed cutter.
Soyang Europe, a leading manufacturer and distributor of digitally printable wide- and superwide-format media, surface coverings, and print production hardware, has invested in a Veloblade Nexus 3016 from Vivid Laminating Technologies for its new showroom at its headquarters in Altham, Lancashire.

Scheduled to become fully operational in early 2027, the showroom will enable customers to see a range of print production and finishing technologies in action, with expert guidance from Soyang’s hardware team. Several machines have already been confirmed and are being installed at the site, including the new Platinum Technologies LIYU Signature Hybrid, the Platinum KCXL+ flatbed UV printer, and the Platinum PCT LED roll-to-roll device. The investment in the Veloblade Nexus 3016, which was finalised at The Print Show 2026, expands the hardware showcase into finishing applications.
The Veloblade Nexus 3016 features a 3,000mm by 1,600mm working bed and incorporates a digital die-cutting multi-tool system for processing a wide range of substrates, including corrugated board, foam PVC, MDF, acrylic, and Dibond. It also features a CNC router capable of cutting to depths of up to 25mm, a CCD camera registration system, and the ability to cut, crease, and perforate in a single pass.
Mark Mashiter, CEO of Soyang Europe, commented: “We’re delighted to be adding the Veloblade Nexus 3016 to the new showroom, which is now just months away from being fully operational. We already know how good this machine is and having the ability to offer live demos, in-house, will allow customers to see first-hand what is possible with the cutter.”
He explained that the combination of the Veloblade with the Platinum Technologies printers gives the company a strong print and finishing proposition under one roof. This allows customers to explore different production technologies, see them working together, and discuss the best approach for their individual requirements. Mashiter concluded: “That hands-on experience is exactly what we want the showroom to provide, giving customers the opportunity to explore the technology and understand how it could work within their own production environment. Soyang will become the place to go for print and finishing solutions.”
