Signs Express deploy nationwide graphics rollout for Mears Group

Signs Express Bristol and Gloucester used Drytac repositionable films to update corporate environments for Mears Group.

A nationwide office rebranding project has been deployed across multiple UK sites to roll out the refreshed corporate identity of Mears Group. Signs Express Bristol and Gloucester have managed the contract from initial site surveys through to regional installation, handling reception branding, large format wall graphics, privacy glazing and structural wayfinding elements.

Maintaining visual consistency across variable building layouts required specific material selections to suit live office environments. The installation teams utilised Drytac ReTac Smooth 150 polymeric PVC film for the internal wall graphics, relying on a repositionable adhesive that allows for precise panel alignment during busy working hours without damaging underlying surfaces.

Director of Signs Express Bristol and Gloucester, Ben Walker, said, ‘The project required materials that could deliver consistent performance across a wide range of applications while maintaining the same premium appearance from one site to the next. ReTac Smooth 150 gave our installers the flexibility to accurately position large graphics thanks to its permanently peelable adhesive, which was particularly valuable on large wall installations.’

For external glazing and internal window graphics, the team selected Drytac Polar Grip vinyl, which features a high coat weight permanent grey adhesive designed to bond with challenging structural surfaces. All corporate graphics were produced using water based HP Latex ink technology to ensure low emission print output suitable for immediate installation inside occupied corporate spaces. The Drytac material range is distributed exclusively across the UK and Ireland by Premier.

Walker added, ‘Polar Grip also performed exceptionally well on glass, providing excellent adhesion and a premium finish. Combined with HP Latex printing, the materials delivered vibrant colours, sharp detail and consistently high quality results across every location.’

The successful completion of the initial phase has established an ongoing partnership, with further regional site rollouts scheduled across the housing and social care provider’s national estate.
