Roland DG launch new EU2-1000MF UV flatbed

Roland DG announce the launch of the EU2-1000MF next-generation UV flatbed printer designed to replace multi-stage print and mount workflows

Roland DG Corporation has introduced the EU2-1000MF, a large-format UV flatbed printer engineered to streamline the production of rigid media. Designed for businesses specialising in signage, retail displays, and interior panels, the new machine focuses on removing the manual labour associated with traditional roll-to-roll printing, laminating, and mounting. By enabling direct-to-board output, the printer allows users to move from digital file to finished product in a single process.

The EU2-1000MF is built for high-volume environments where consistency and turnaround times are critical. It supports media sizes up to 1,220mm x 2,440mm and can handle substrates up to 95mm thick. This versatility makes the device suitable for a wide range of rigid materials, providing a reliable digital alternative for traditional screen printers or established flatbed users looking to modernise their workflow.

A significant technical advancement in this model is the inclusion of a new high-definition printhead. This upgrade allows the EU2-1000MF to deliver approximately 1.5 times the productivity of the previous EU-1000MF model. Despite this increase in speed and performance, Roland DG has maintained the pricing of the outgoing model, offering businesses a more efficient production route without a corresponding increase in capital investment.

Ryugo Nimura, Executive Officer of the Global Sales and Marketing Division at Roland DG, said, “With the EU2-1000MF, we focused on helping print businesses simplify how rigid media work gets done. By moving directly from file to finished board, users can reduce manual steps, improve consistency, and increase output, all while maintaining the stable, repeatable quality needed for daily production.”

Available from 14 April 2026, the printer is positioned as a complete production system. It utilises VersaWorks 7 RIP software to ensure accurate and organised output, alongside E-US inks which are formulated for stable performance and controlled running costs. This end-to-end approach is supported by Roland DG’s established service and warranty network, which is tailored specifically for demanding production environments.
