Premier has launched eTEC Air-R Bubble Board Black Core, a new PVC-free sign and display material available in the UK and Ireland. This European-made product features a black polypropylene core that contains up to 80% recycled content by weight. It is an extension of the existing eTEC Air Bubble Board White Core, retaining the bright white surfaces on both sides to ensure high-quality, vibrant prints. The key addition of the black core enhances opacity, effectively blocking any show-through, making it particularly useful for point-of-sale displays, signage, exhibition panels, and other visual applications where a solid, opaque background is essential.
Designed for compatibility with UV, latex, and screen printing, eTEC Air-R Bubble Board Black Core undergoes a corona treatment, which ensures excellent ink adhesion and overall print quality. The board is highly versatile in its production capabilities, suitable for various flatbed cutting methods, including drag knife, die cutting (both hot and cold), guillotining, hot welding, folding, and laser cutting. This adaptability makes it a practical and convenient choice for a wide range of fabrication techniques and production workflows.
Its UV treatment provides increased durability, making it suitable for extended outdoor use and offering resistance to various environmental elements. Additionally, eTEC Air-R Bubble Board Black Core is designed to be recyclable and offers options for responsible disposal through the FESPA Waste Management Scheme. It is also available to be carbon captured, on request, through Premiers sustainability scheme in partnership with the Woodland Trust.
