Plus Print has expanded its Dublin production facility with a new HP Latex 830W printer supplied by partner NTI Digital Solutions.
Dublin-based graphics specialist Plus Print has expanded its wide-format printing capabilities following the installation of a new HP Latex 830W printer. Supplied and commissioned by approved HP partner NTI Digital Solutions, the 1.63m-wide roll-to-roll press was installed at the firm’s primary production facility to replace an outgoing HP Latex 360 unit.
Founded in 1985, the family-run business specialises in lithographic and large-format print production, focusing on high-visibility graphics for corporate headquarters, live events, art galleries, and museums. Running water-based, odourless HP Latex Inks, the new printer achieves maximum output speeds of up to 36sq m per hour in Outdoor mode while providing an environmentally responsible production method for sensitive indoor environments.
Print Production Manager at Plus Print, Marcin Markiewicz, commented, “We upgraded to the new machine specifically for its white-ink flexibility, superior print quality, and eco-friendly credentials. The new machine offers improved speed and print quality, and we are primarily using it for producing graphics for buses, vehicle wraps, posters and backlit media.”
Investing in white-ink technology enables the business to diversify its application portfolio. The operational flexibility provided by high-opacity white ink allows the production team to print vibrant graphics on transparent, metallic, and coloured media, expanding opportunities across backlit architectural displays, window graphics, promotional posters, and vehicle wraps.
The new addition joins a substantial fleet of HP hardware at the Dublin site, operating alongside an HP Latex R2000 hybrid printer installed in 2018 and an industrial HP Latex 3100 platform running since 2014. Maintaining a single-vendor setup streamlines operator training, media profiling, and colour management across both rigid and flexible substrate production.
Markiewicz concluded, “We have been using HP machines for more than 20 years, so the choice was a natural one for us.”
