Grafit Display Hire, tension fabric display company, has acquired Yorkshire based JNM Exhibitions as part of its rapid growth strategy. Grafit views the exhibition industry as a key area of growth and see the opportunity with JNM Exhibitions as a smart and strategic investment.
JNM Exhibitions, based in Boroughbridge, Yorkshire, is an International Exhibition Contractor working across multiple industries specialising in Exhibition and Pavillion Design and Build, Shell Scheme Hire and Visitor Centre Fit Out.
Alison Bainbridge, managing director of JNM Exhibitions, commented on the sale, “It feels like the right time for me and & Scotty (Paul Scott) to step back from the exhibition world and retire after over 30 incredible years, but it was a decision we didn’t want to take without finding the right team to pass the JNM Baton to. Grafit Display Hire, founded in 2017 and based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire offers a sustainable, cost-effective and hassle-free Tension Fabric hire service with a wide range of products including Press Walls, Lightboxes, Exhibition Stands, Stage Backdrops and 3D Structures.
Director Andy Phillips commented on the recent takeover, “Originally, we started Grafit to service the events industry, due to the versatility of our product range we naturally started to pick up Exhibition enquiries which allowed us to adapt our offering. Exhibitions is a key growth area for us so by acquiring JNM it not only strengthens our offering but we also inherit an amazing staff pool with great industry knowledge and the ability to service international enquiries with ease.”
The takeover sees owners Alison Bainbridge and Paul Scott continue their roles during a handover period of 6-12 months before retiring, a decision to ensure seamless migration of both companies for the staff and customers.
Grafit continues to look at further acquisitions to assist with rapid growth plans across multiple sectors.
JNM now joins a larger organisation group, consisting of Grafit Display Hire, a specialist in events & displays, and Envision Media, a large-format print company. The result is a group that can handle all elements of events and displays internally, across the UK and Internationally.
