FaberExposize lands UK’s first 5.2m Agfa Jeti Condor

FaberExposize UK installs the first Agfa Jeti Condor RTR5200 in the UK, expanding its 5-metre production capacity for exhibition and retail graphics.

FaberExposize has installed the UK’s first Agfa Jeti Condor RTR5200 at its production facility in Leeds. The 5.2-metre roll-to-roll inkjet press was selected to expand the company’s capacity in the exhibition and entertainment sectors, providing a dedicated UV solution for grand-format work.

The investment follows a period of rapid growth for FaberExposize, which has seen an increasing requirement from clients for 5-metre-wide graphics alongside its existing 3.2-metre offering. The Jeti Condor is designed for high-volume production, reaching speeds of up to 672 m²/h and capable of processing three rolls simultaneously.

Iain Clasper-Cotte, Managing Director at FaberExposize UK, said, “We’ve been growing within exhibition and entertainment, and many of our clients wanted 5-metre-wide prints. It was the only gap in our arsenal, and we wanted to fill it with a UV machine. This enables us to print the full remit of what a signage company might need, including flex-face signage with protective varnish applied in-line.”

The machine features high-opacity white ink and in-line varnish, which reduces the need for secondary finishing processes. Despite the scale of the equipment, it was integrated into the company’s existing Agfa Asanti workflow within its first week, allowing the team to begin triple-roll production almost immediately.

The relationship between the two companies is long-standing, with FaberExposize operating one of the largest Agfa-equipped facilities in the UK. The company recently added its fourth Avinci textile printer and operates several Jeti Tauro and Anapurna engines.

Clasper-Cotte added, “When you’re producing hundreds of thousands of prints per year, reliability and service matter most. You need to know an engineer will turn up, and Agfa have always been exceptional at that.”

FaberExposize has recently opened a new production unit in Leeds to house the expanding fleet. Emma Plant, Regional Sales Manager at Agfa, noted, “The Condor’s installation in Leeds marks a milestone for the UK market and reflects a trend towards greater speed and versatility. We are giving providers the tools they need to take on more ambitious work with consistent results.”
