Eye on 2025 – 12 days of predictions – Day 12

In our final day of predictions we welcome Libby Clifford (23) from Make it Happen! who predicts fresh perspectives and creative ideas

Hi, I’m Libby! I’m 23 and work for Make it Happen! As someone relatively new to the signage and print industry, I completely understand how daunting it can feel when you’re just starting out. Like many, I ‘fell’ into this trade by chance—and I couldn’t be happier that I did! This industry is filled with exciting challenges, endless creativity, and rewarding projects, and I truly believe 2025 is the year to get my generation excited about everything this ever-evolving field has to offer.

Recently, Sam and I developed a workshop called “The First Drill”, a hands-on beginner’s course designed to introduce the fundamentals of signage and print. Our goal is to equip newcomers with the confidence and foundational knowledge they need to step into this industry with energy and enthusiasm.

Opportunities like this are so important for welcoming the next generation! In 2025, let’s showcase the uniqueness of our work by using social media and training opportunities to highlight the creativity and innovation that defines our field. A very up and coming key factor to our industry is the recent surge in sustainability! I spoke to a friend of mine (Steve Lister) and he informed me that 18 – 24 year olds are the most active and engaged in sustainability issues! So much is changing within our industry, especially in regards to sustainability! I think it’s time to really share this!

So, my prediction for 2025? BIGGER and BETTER! With the right resources and support, I believe my generation can bring fresh perspectives, quirky ideas, and a whole lot of passion to the table.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
