16 Printheads for the New Mimaki JFX600-2513

Another first from Hybrid Services at Sign and Digital last month was the UK launch of the brand new Mimaki JFX600-2513 LED-UV flatbed printer.

Exclusive Mimaki distributor, Hybrid Services says the new printer is designed to address the high-volume UV market. “The Mimaki JFX200 8×4 flatbed UV printer has been a market leader and hugely successful for many years, mainly due to its fantastic price/performance,” says Duncan Jefferies, Hybrid Services’ Head of Marketing and Business Development. “However, with 16 printheads, the new JGX600 provides significantly higher speeds.”

Engineered for high speeds and high productivity, Hybrid says the new flatbed offers print service providers a broader variety of applications thanks to a wider range of ink types and increased media flexibility.

Hybrid’s Reseller Account Manager, Martin Southworth anticipates strong uptake of the new model. “Mimaki’s ongoing response to market demand for increased productivity, quality and innovation has shaped the development of this new flatbed. Providing a hugely capable solution for companies looking to boost their capacity and introduce new levels of creativity, we foresee significant opportunities with the JFX600.”

The JFX600-2513 is an 8’ x 4’ flatbed and builds on the success of Mimaki’s significant heritage in the sector. With the aim of tackling the high-end UV flatbed market, the new model incorporates 16 print heads, resulting in significant speed increases over models that currently sit within the Mimaki line-up. The printer’s wide variety of ink sets facilitates vibrant, intense colours perfect for striking indoor and outdoor signage and display graphics and the incorporation of white, clear and primer broaden the printer’s creative opportunities even further.

Thanks to Mimaki’s seventh-generation UV print technology, the range of media this new model supports opens the door for a myriad of applications including grand format signage, interior décor and display graphics. With a maximum printing area of 2.5m x 1.3m and a thickness of 6cm, the JFX600-2513 is compatible with standard size signboards, and its direct-to-substrate capabilities also allows for printing on resin, wood, glass, and metal. The JFX600 is also capable of ‘2.5D’ multi-layered printing, creating raised texture effects for high-value, tactile applications.
