Universal Graphics scales its fleet wrapping capacity and secures a major contract with An Post after investing in an HP Latex FS60W printer.
Irish print solutions provider Universal Graphics has explained how its investment in an HP Latex FS60W printer has transformed its fleet branding operations. Supplied and installed by HP distribution partner NTI Diatec, the 3.2-metre-wide device has enabled the company to secure high-volume vehicle wrapping contracts whilst simultaneously unlocking new opportunities in the architectural and interior design markets.

Universal Graphics, which operates from regional hubs in Dublin, Monaghan and Waterford, integrated the new printer into its production line to run alongside an existing fleet of HP Latex systems. The addition of the hardware has significantly increased the company’s manufacturing capacity, giving production teams the operational flexibility required to manage tight turnarounds on large-scale commercial contracts.
The expanded capacity has already yielded commercial success, helping the business secure a major long-term contract with An Post, the national postal service of the Republic of Ireland. This contract requires the branding and graphic wrapping of thousands of postal vehicles every year, whilst maintaining consistent colour management and reliable daily throughput.
Beyond its core vehicle wrapping services, the hybrid capabilities of the printer have allowed Universal Graphics to diversify its wider portfolio. The system accommodates a broad range of substrates up to 3.2 metres wide, allowing the company to transition between high-volume fleet graphics and highly specialised, short-run interior design projects. The company has been utilising the machine to print onto clear media, creating high-end window graphics that complement its existing architectural window film services and provide a more cohesive solution for its corporate clients.
Aisling Savage, Sales Support and Marketing at Universal Graphics, noted that the technology has provided significantly greater flexibility in production planning. Looking forward, Savage confirmed that the company’s strategy is focused on deeper market penetration, using the printer’s increased speed, volume capabilities and premium print quality to target specific commercial sectors. The business is currently developing several new service areas and expects to officially announce these innovations later this year to support its long-term growth strategy.
