CMYUK announces the appointment of Tom Gent to its team as a Senior Service and Installations Engineer.  Tom will be primarily working with the JWEI JCUT digital cutting tables and EFI industrial printing technology. He will report directly to Neil Roberts, manager of CMYUK’s burgeoning service department.

Tom brings an impressive wealth of experience from his previous role at Zund, where he worked for seven years. During his time there, Tom gained elite Q-status by becoming one of only a small number of engineers in the world trained to work on Zund’s Q-Line cutting systems, further demonstrating his expertise in advanced digital finishing equipment.

Prior to joining Zund, Tom built an extensive career as an engineer in the printing sector of the production workflow. He has worked with a wide variety of print brands as well as specialising in the build and maintenance of bespoke printing equipment.

His considerable additional knowledge of printing hardware, technical fluency in colour profiling, and workflow management makes him a consummate all-rounder.

Neil Roberts said, “Tom Gent is an excellent addition to our team. His vast knowledge and experience in both printing and finishing technologies make him a perfect fit for CMYUK’s service division. This department continues to grow in response to the increased demand for our solutions, and having on Tom on board, further strengthens our ability to provide the highest level of customer support.”

Tom said, “I’m really excited to be joining CMYUK. The company has built an outstanding reputation for innovation within digital print production, and I’m proud to be part of a team that’s truly shaping the future of the industry. I’m looking forward to working with the wide array of cutting-edge equipment that has reset expectations across the entire workflow. It’s a great opportunity to be involved in a company that’s constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and I can’t wait to contribute to its continued success.”
