The Mailing People bolsters fleet with two Konica C12010 presses

The Mailing People has increased its digital production capacity by installing two high-speed Konica Minolta AccurioPress C12010 systems

The Mailing People, a Portsmouth-based direct mail specialist, has further strengthened its production capabilities with the installation of two Konica Minolta AccurioPress C12010 digital production presses. This latest investment expands the company’s dedicated Konica Minolta fleet to four machines, following the installation of a mono AccurioPress 6272P and a colour AccurioPress C12000e last year.

Operating from a solar-powered facility, The Mailing People manages the distribution of over 14 million items annually for clients across the charity, travel, utilities, and membership sectors. The decision to double down on Konica Minolta technology was driven by a requirement for high-volume reliability and a shared commitment to sustainable manufacturing processes.

The AccurioPress C12010 delivers print speeds of up to 120 ppm and offers extensive media versatility. The systems can handle substrates up to 450 g/m², as well as embossed paper, envelopes, and synthetic materials. Furthermore, the presses support long-sheet printing of up to 1,300 mm, or 900 mm in duplex, providing the flexibility required for complex direct mail campaigns.

Kristian Harrington, Managing Director at The Mailing People, commented, “We continue to invest in Konica Minolta as not only do we get the quality, performance and reliability that we need to deliver consistently for our customers, but they also share our eco-conscious values.”

The C12010 series is certified to EPEAT Gold standards and incorporates Simitri V toner technology. This specialised toner utilises lower fusing temperatures to reduce energy consumption while enhancing print results on recycled and FSC-certified papers. The machines’ streamlined footprint has also allowed the firm to maximise its available production space in Portsmouth.

Jon Hiscock, Head of Production and Industrial Print at Konica Minolta Business Solutions UK, added, “We are proud that The Mailing People have chosen to partner with Konica Minolta to increase its production capacity with two new AccurioPress C12010 digital production presses. Recently installed, they are producing some fantastic work that is landing on people’s doorsteps and generating results for The Mailing People’s customers.”
