The swissQprint Nyala flatbed printer has retained its position as the best-selling printer in its class in Europe for the eleventh consecutive year.
swissQprint has announced that its Nyala flatbed printer continues its commercial success across the European market. For the eleventh consecutive year, the machine has ranked as the best-selling printer in its class in Europe. The manufacturer notes that well over 1,000 units of this specific model are currently in operation around the world.

The Nyala held its leading position throughout 2025. It competed against all surveyed brands and models within the category for UV flatbed, roll-to-roll, and hybrid printers over 152.4 cm wide in the EUR 130,000 to 500,000 price segment. Geneva-based market research institute Infosource provided the official figures. The organisation tracks the annual sales of large-format printers across the European region to determine market share.
Carmen Eicher, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at swissQprint, comments on the achievement. She says, “Eleven years in a row! We are both thrilled and grateful for this ongoing success.” Eicher adds, “This special recognition we owe above all to our loyal customers, who have put their trust in our technology for years.”
The company develops and manufactures the Nyala entirely in Switzerland, a strategy it applies to all swissQprint large format printers. The manufacturer produces everything from the mechanical components to the electronics and software at its headquarters. swissQprint states that customers value this integrated and centralised approach for the decisive benefits it delivers. The company claims these benefits include precise and reproducible print results, high process reliability, and a minimal risk of downtime. Furthermore, the manufacturer backs the security of these investments with a 36-month factory warranty.
Lorenz Ismer, CEO and owner of German POS marketing, print production, and logistics provider Filialflũsterer, discusses his experience with the hardware. He says, “With another, earlier system, we learned exactly how every service technician preferred their coffee. These days, we can barely recall their names – so seldom is swissQprint service on the premises.”
Since its initial launch in 2012, swissQprint has steadily developed the Nyala platform. The current fifth-generation model features a 3.2 by 2 metre flatbed and offers ten freely configurable colour channels for the first time. At maximum productivity, the hardware can output up to 253 square metres per hour.
The printing system covers a wide range of applications, spanning from standard signage and display production to complex industrial applications and special effects.
Carla Johanns of Simpson Print in Canada, which operates three Nyala systems, shares her feedback. She says, “Our print is about quality and versatility, and swissQprint has exceeded in this time and time again.”
