Soyang supplies Veloblade Nexus 3032 to Xtreme Signs Dublin

Large-format specialist Xtreme Signs & Graphics became the first company in Ireland to purchase the Veloblade Nexus 3032 digital die-cutting machine, supplied by Soyang Hardware.

Dublin-based large-format printing business Xtreme Signs & Graphics recently became the first company in Ireland to purchase a Veloblade Nexus 3032, taking delivery of the machine from Soyang Hardware to expand its in-house cutting capabilities.

Active for more than 17 years, Xtreme Signs & Graphics offers a range of trade services, including exhibition fabrics, dye-sublimation, and UV printing on various materials. The company’s growth from its beginnings in safety signage has been supported by its focus on embracing new technology.

This approach led the company to invest in the Veloblade Nexus 3032, a large-format digital die-cutting machine developed by Vivid Laminating Technologies. The machine features a cutting area of 3,000 x 3,200 mm and allows users to work with stocks up to 25 mm thick, including materials such as Dibond, MDF, and acrylic, alongside numerous fabrics.

Efficiency and Production Speed

The device offers a top cutting speed of 1,500 mm/s. It also features an automatic cut depth setting and an automatic tool changer, both of which are intended to increase the overall operating speed and improve the operator’s job.

Xtreme purchased the new device from Soyang Hardware, an approved distribution partner of Vivid Laminating Technologies. The Soyang team installed the machine at Xtreme’s facility in Dublin in late summer.

Roisin Hennessy, co-owner of Xtreme Signs & Graphics, states that the company’s rapid growth in fabric printing created a challenge, as “manual cutting couldn’t keep up with demand”. She explains, “To streamline workflow and boost productivity, we decided to automate the cutting process. After reviewing multiple options, we partnered with Soyang and Vivid and selected the Veloblade Nexus as our next cutting solution investment.”

Ms Hennessy adds that the machine’s installation at the end of the summer was “perfect timing” coming into the busy exhibition season.

Despite having only been in place for a few months, the Xtreme team has already reported a marked improvement in production. The Veloblade Nexus 3032 has been used across a variety of applications.

“The changes have not only increased our fabric production but have also helped our team to work more smoothly, confidently and investigate many more possibilities,” Ms Hennessy says. “Working with Soyang and Vivid has been fantastic. Their support has been exceptional, and we’re eager to continue building on our success together in the future.”
