Soyang Europe achieves FESPA UK Waste Accreditation Champion for 2025 in recognition of its material take-back initiatives.
Soyang Europe has secured Waste Accreditation Champion status from FESPA UK. This voluntary scheme, established in 2022, is designed to promote responsible waste management and recycling across the print, signage, and graphics sectors in the UK market.
To achieve Champion status, companies must meet strict criteria regarding waste generation, outputs, and disposal practices. Soyang Europe was deemed to have met these standards following an evaluation of its operations over the past 12 months.

Suzi Ward, managing director of FESPA UK, said, “Soyang were the original champions of our Waste Accreditation and were integral to building our first take-back scheme more than four years ago. Mark Mashiter and his team worked closely with FESPA UK to understand what would genuinely work for their clients. This included how materials could be brought back, how it would function as a viable part of their business, and how materials could be stored correctly and collected directly from their yard.”
Ward added that Mashiter recognised early on that offering a take-back scheme would better support clients while helping to drive a more sustainable industry. The accreditation aims to encourage the wider adoption of recognised international standards and environmental performance across the speciality print community.
Speaking on behalf of Soyang, group CEO Mark Mashiter said he was pleased to have secured the status for 2025. He noted that the award aligns with Soyang’s long-term approach to sustainability and its goal of providing customers with environmentally friendly solutions.
“We have been huge supporters of the Waste Accreditation scheme since FESPA UK first launched the initiative almost four years ago,” Mashiter said. “We are honoured to have been recognised for our own efforts in this area and will strive to continue to improve the environmentally friendly products we offer to customers. We are committed to our ongoing work with FESPA UK, helping them spread the word about its Waste Accreditation scheme.”
