The new bolt-down system offers a stronger, simpler way to install signage in tough installation environments
Sign Trade Supplies has launched its new Bolt-Down Sign Post Kit in grey powder coat, developed for installers requiring a robust, permanent signpost solution in areas where digging isn’t feasible, such as car parks, train stations, industrial estates, and town centres.
Built around a 4-bolt round base system, the kit makes it easy to secure post and panel signage onto concrete or reinforced surfaces without compromising on strength or appearance. Supplied as a complete kit, it includes a high-strength aluminium post, 300mm baseplate, high-tensile bolts, and an aluminium cap. All that’s required is an 8mm Allen key and PZ2 screwdriver for on-site assembly.

“Installers have been asking for a solution that’s both durable and neat for places where you simply can’t dig a hole,” said Garrick Dartnell, Head of Marketing at Sign Trade Supplies. “This bolt-down kit fulfils that need. It’s stronger than a welded baseplate, easier to transport, and looks more professional once installed. Plus, because we keep it in stock, it can be dispatched immediately; there’s no waiting around for welding or fabrication.”
Independently strength-tested, the 4-bolt system is 2.5 times stronger than a welded aluminium baseplate and is less prone to failure from wind loading. Made from 6005A high-strength aluminium alloy, it combines durability and corrosion resistance for long-term outdoor use. The smooth, weld-free design gives each post a clean, professional finish, without the unsightly weld lines that can spoil the look of a sign installation.

Available in a sleek grey powder-coated finish and a choice of heights from 1000mm to 3000mm, the new kit is designed for nearly any permanent signage job, from wayfinding and car park information to safety and directional signs.
Installers will also appreciate the kit’s practical advantages on site. Its non-welded construction makes it far easier to transport, handle and store, helping to maximise limited van space. It also arrives ready to assemble, so there’s no fabrication delay, keeping projects on schedule. And with a lower price point than traditional welded baseplates, it offers both performance and value in one package.
Garrick added: “The sign trade depends on products that are easy to work with, look good, and last. This kit ticks all those boxes; it’s strong, simple to install, and ready to go when you need it.”
