New HP large format media range available through Antalis UK

Antalis introduces a range of HP Large Format Printing papers and synthetics for water-based and Latex inkjet systems in the UK.

Antalis has introduced a new range of HP Large Format Printing papers and synthetic media, specifically developed to integrate with water-based dye, pigment, and Latex inkjet technologies. This portfolio is designed to function as a unified “system chemistry” alongside Original HP inks, aiming to provide consistency across various applications, including POS displays, technical drawings, and signage.

A central component of this release is the implementation of HP ColorPRO Technology. This technical feature is intended to support colour vibrancy, gamut expansion, and high-contrast blacks. By maintaining these standards at production speeds, the media helps print service providers achieve detailed text and graphic reproduction without the need to slow down machinery for quality control.

Spanning several distinct production categories, the offering addresses a broad spectrum of industry requirements. Technical and presentation needs are met with FSC-certified bond and inkjet papers, while the photo and poster segment provides multiple grades from 171 to 300gsm. For high-impact visual communications, the range includes tear-resistant films and synthetics, such as matte polypropylene and backlit polyester. Furthermore, the portfolio extends into interior décor with PVC-free wallpapers and removable adhesive fabrics.

Sustainability is a clear factor in the composition of this new lineup. Many of the featured substrates are PVC-free, recyclable, or FSC-certified, positioning them as alternatives to traditional materials in retail and interior environments. Products such as HP Professional Matt Canvas and HP Light Fabric allow for the creation of durable graphics while meeting the specific environmental standards often required by modern corporate and healthcare contracts.

Mike Collins, Product Manager for Antalis, said, “HP large format media portfolio is designed so the printer, inks and materials work as one. For print service providers running waterbased and Latex systems, this range delivers predictable, repeatable results, from everyday plans and posters through to premium photo, fine art and interior décor work, while helping them improve throughput and control costs.”

Available immediately across the UK, the HP large format printing range is supplied in multiple widths, roll lengths, and core sizes. This variety ensures that the media remains compatible with a wide array of wide-format hardware currently in use across the professional print sector.
