Nathan McLauchlan-Welsh joins MTWO Search

Business growth sees MTWO expanding its recruitment team with a key new appointment

Specialist print and signage recruitment firm, MTWO Search, has announced the appointment of Nathan McLauchlan-Welsh as its new Recruitment Consultant. Nathan joins from KRG, where he spent nearly two years specialising in recruitment for the signage and print industry.

Nathan McLauchlan-Welsh is looking forward to new challenges

Prior to recruitment, Nathan began his career in sales. “I love talking to people and helping them find the best solutions for them,” he says, adding, “When I had the chance to move into recruitment, it felt like the ideal role for me. It’s a great career and it can really help people. Since I got into the industry I haven’t looked back.”

MTWO Search’s founder and MD, Matt Hanley, says, “Bringing someone new into a small team is an important and strategic decision. Nathan was making a good name for himself within the sign and print arm of recruitment, and he was doing it at a good firm with a great reputation for training its staff well. As a solo business, I’m selective about who I trust to represent the company.”

Matt takes a friendly and professional approach to the business and regularly publishes advice and tips on how to find good people and develop your career, from both the clients’ and candidates’ perspectives. “I put a lot of advice out there, particularly on the importance of having actual conversations on a regular basis.  It is important to practise what I preach, so I picked up the phone to Nathan and he agreed to join me for a brew. He has good experience, is approachable and is very much on the upward curve of his career. He’s a fantastic addition to the business, and I’m very much looking forward to building the brand and the business around him.”

For Nathan, Matt’s enthusiastic, personable and positive approach was key to making his decision to join MTWO Search. “He’s so passionate about the industry, and it’s contagious.  He’s not just recruiting in the industry; he’s part of the industry. That was quite a big thing for me. It was encouraging for me to see that he recognised my potential and wants to see me succeed. It feels like a partnership.”

He continues, “I love the human aspect of recruitment and value the opportunity to guide people through what can be a nerve-wracking but exciting time in their lives. It’s a crucial part of people’s lives, and to be part of that process is a great place to be.”

Outside of work, Nathan is a keen sportsman, playing golf and enjoying 5-a-side football. He is a passionate Stockport County fan, and also a new father, so he has plenty to keep him busy.

Nathan is looking forward to connecting with professionals across the sector and helping to build upon MTWO Search’s respected brand.
