Lahnpaper introduce varitess® self adhesive at FESPA

The German paper and non woven manufacturer showcased its roll format portfolio for digital printing applications in Berlin

Lahnpaper, manufacturer of speciality papers and non-wovens, introduced its latest innovation, varitess® self-adhesive, at FESPA 2025 in Berlin. Alongside this new product, the company also presented its broader roll format portfolio for digital printing applications.

The new varitess® self-adhesive non-woven is engineered to offer enhanced quality, handling, and application flexibility. Developed for the digital printing sector, it aims to expand possibilities for applications ranging from high-definition wallpapers to quality display materials.

A key feature of varitess® self-adhesive is its dry application method, eliminating the need for paste and simplifying the installation process. The material is available in three different weights (170, 175, and 190 g/m²) and is designed for easy repositioning and residue-free removal, facilitating quick changes and creative freedom.

Lahnpaper highlights several potential benefits of varitess® self-adhesive for various stakeholders, including seamless integration into existing workflows, flexible roll dimensions upon request, and compatibility with common digital printing technologies such as UV and latex inkjet, as well as Xeikon dry toner. The material is also PVC, phthalate, and plasticiser-free, emphasising its environmental considerations. Manufactured in Germany, varitess® offers good print reproduction and a pleasant tactile feel.

In addition to this new self-adhesive option, Lahnpaper showcased its established cuturon®, pretex®, and standard varitess® ranges at FESPA. These materials offer solutions for high print quality, ease of processing, and durability for both the wallpaper and general printing industries.

cuturon® is a line of soft non-wovens suitable for demanding applications as an alternative to textiles. pretex® comprises impregnated special papers designed for durability in mechanically stressed or humid environments, while maintaining good printability. The standard varitess® non-woven is a stable and versatile option for wallpaper, printing, and industrial uses.

Lahnpaper’s overall portfolio for digital printing includes materials with various finishes, such as impregnated, coated, and self-adhesive versions, aiming to provide suitable media for a wide range of standard printing technologies.
