KGK Genix delivers festive graphics for Natural History Museum

KGK Genix designed, printed, and installed a large-scale, dinosaur-themed festive display and a full shop makeover for the Natural History Museum

KGK Genix has completed a seasonal installation for the Natural History Museum in London, producing a large-scale creative scheme that was designed to welcome visitors over the Christmas period. The Essex-based production team managed the full process, delivering design, print, and installation services for a dinosaur-themed festive display and a full transformation of the museum’s gift shop.

The festive installation by KGK Genix at the Natural History Museum featured sustainable 3D cardboard elements and a large printed backdrop for the dinosaur-themed display.

The project featured printed graphics and display elements that supported the museum’s holiday programme and aimed to provide an engaging experience for families. The shop makeover included the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly print and display solutions from KGK Genix’s ECO range, featuring:

  • Cut-out display elements made from corrugated cardboard that were suspended above the retail space, including presents, stars, festive dinosaurs, and recognisable London icons.
  • 3D, freestanding trees in various sizes, made from sustainable materials, for use as décor and integration into visual merchandising.
  • The dinosaur-themed display for the main museum space included a large backdrop, previously confirmed by the company to be a 15 x 5 metre stretched banner depicting an ice-skating scene. This display also included reboard constructed skis and skating dinosaurs.

The work, delivered within one of the United Kingdom’s most recognised public spaces, demonstrates the company’s ability to manage the full process from creative development and print production through to on-site installation.

Colette Cooper, Marketing Director at KGK Genix, says, “We were very proud to be part of this project. Our aim was to create something warm, fun and memorable for visitors. The museum team were excellent to work with and it was a privilege for everyone at KGK Genix to support the festive experience.”

The Natural History Museum installation adds to KGK Genix’s portfolio of large-scale creative projects delivered across the United Kingdom.
