He will service this specialist market globally from his office base in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Žvikas has a wealth of experience, his career in the wood industry began over 20 years ago when he joined German manufacturer Rhenocoll as a Technician & Sales Representative for the Baltic countries. Prior to joining GEW he was Project Sales Manager at Remmers, the leading German paint manufacturer, for some 16 years and was responsible for coating sales across the Baltic states.
GEW recently enhanced its LED product offerings to suit wood coating applications and is seeing rapid growth and interest in its LeoLED product, from prestigious end users and OEMs in this market.
This has led to the need to expand the sales team with expertise specifically focused in wood coating. Being based in Lithuania, Žvikas is perfectly positioned within a hub of wood coating activity in Europe.
He comments on the current opportunities in the wood coating market: “The transition to the use of LED curing is accelerating rapidly, as big brands focus on sustainability and reducing operating costs. Furthermore, coating suppliers now have most base coats and fillers readily available in LED-compatible format, at competitive prices.”

Žvikas graduated from Lithuania‘s Kaunas Technical University in 2003, with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree. He is fluent in English, Lithuanian and Russian.
