Imageco adds HP Latex 830W to portfolio

Leeds-based Imageco took delivery of its new HP Latex 830W in mid-June and plans to use the printer to broaden its already-diverse service offering.

Imageco, the wide-format print, signage and creative display provider has added a new HP Latex 830W to its portfolio. Based in Leeds but works with customers across the UK and in Europe, the company has a hugely diverse offering, supporting clients with everything from high-impact exhibition graphics and bespoke interior branding to POS displays and outdoor campaigns.

HP Latex features strongly in Imageco’s operation at its Leeds facility, with the company having worked with the technology for several years. At present, it operates several HP Latex 800W machines, though the company recently took the decision to build on this setup with the addition of another HP machine.

The HP Latex 830W can run at a maximum speed of 36sq m/hr in outdoor mode on media as wide as 1.63m. Other features include the ability to process rolls as heavy as 55kg, while users also benefit from a white ink option. In addition, as with all HP Latex devices, the printer uses HP Latex water-based inks, which have less environmental impact than some other ink types.

The HP Latex 830W printer was supplied and installed by approved HP partner Perfect Colours in June 2025. Nathan Swinson-Bullough, Managing Director of Imageco, said the machine fits in with the company’s long-term targets, both in terms of production capabilities and its sustainability goals.

“Investing in the HP Latex 830W strengthens our commitment to sustainable print, offering even greater performance while maintaining the environmental standards our clients expect,” Nathan said. “It’s a continuation of a technology partnership that works — both for our production needs and for our environmental goals.”

Expanding on this latter point, Nathan said sustainability is central to Imageco’s future plans.

“We’ve always valued the water-based, low-emission ink system for its vibrant results, ease of use, and excellent sustainability credentials,” he said. “It enables us to deliver high-performance print across a huge range of substrates, while meeting the growing demand for greener solutions in visual communications.”

As for the work Imageco will be running on the new machine, Nathan said the device will allow the company to produce all manner of printed applications for clients across a host of markets, with the company also eying further growth in certain areas.

“We produce everything from self-adhesive vinyl to poster paper and backlit film, with the flexibility to handle both large production runs and the smaller, bespoke jobs that make up much of our day-to-day work,” he said. “HP Latex technology gives us the versatility to deliver high-quality results across this full spectrum.

“When we first invested in Latex, the long-term goal was to grow our offering in the interior décor space, a sector we believe holds real potential for us. Now, with the capacity and creative capability in place, we’re ready to push further into that market and make the most of what these machines can deliver.

“We’ve been working with HP Latex technology for many years, and this investment is a natural step forward to stay aligned with the latest advancements. It ensures we can continue to service the work we’ve built our reputation on, while also positioning us for future growth.

“Embracing HP Latex technology is not just about preparing for what is ahead, it is about delivering quality, sustainable print solutions right now.”
