DTX Wraps delivers durable murals with Drytac

DTX Wraps uses Drytac Polar Grip Air and anti-graffiti laminate to produce durable public murals for the Downtown Dallas Inc. Beautification Project

DTX Wraps, a prominent print and installation specialist based in Texas, has completed a series of vibrant public murals for the Downtown Dallas Inc. (DDI) Beautification Project. The initiative, aimed at enhancing civic spaces through local artistry, required a high-performance graphics solution capable of withstanding the rigours of a busy metropolitan environment.

Led by managing partner C.J. Reichwein, who brings over 20 years of industry experience to the firm, DTX Wraps produced the graphics in-house using an Epson SureColor S80600L. To ensure the artists’ work was reproduced with maximum colour vibrancy and remained securely bonded to challenging urban surfaces, the team selected Drytac Polar Grip Air.

Polar Grip Air is a polymeric vinyl featuring a high coat weight (HCW) permanent adhesive, specifically engineered for “hard-to-stick” surfaces. The material also incorporates air release technology, which facilitates a bubble-free and efficient installation process on a large scale.

C.J. Reichwein, Managing Partner at DTX Wraps, commented, “We chose this product because of the ease of installation. When you’re installing large murals in public spaces, you need a product that performs consistently and bonds reliably. Polar Grip Air gives us that confidence.”

Given the high-traffic nature of the downtown Dallas district, protection against vandalism and environmental wear was a critical requirement. To address this, the printed graphics were finished with Drytac’s Interlam Pro Anti-Graffiti laminate. This combination ensures the murals remain resistant to surface damage while maintaining their visual impact over time.

The project was completed without production or installation challenges, and the final results have been met with a highly positive response from DDI. The success of these initial installations has encouraged the organisation to further expand the Beautification Project across the city.

Reichwein added, “The success we see from projects like these is what keeps us coming back. Drytac continues to deliver products we can trust to perform, every time.”
