Drytac shows Duo range at PRINTING United Expo

Jack visited the Drytac stand at the PRINTING United Expo to talk with Jeff Mercer, the company’s Southeast Territory Sales Manager for the US.

Jeff, who has been with Drytac for 15 months, discussed the positive response to the show, their commitment to applications, and the launch of new, versatile products.

Jeff was enthusiastic about the event, noting the “fantastic amount of leads” and the high level of engagement from visitors. “It’s really amazing to have this many people in one venue to be able to connect with our vendors, connect with our customers and our dealer partners. It’s been fantastic,” he said.

Drytac was also actively involved in the installation zone, partnering with the PDAA (Professional Decal Applicators Association). This partnership is vital, as Jeff explained, to ensure that their products are properly applied. “We can sit here and talk about applications and talk about projects but over there you get to actually see it in use. This hands-on approach ensures the end-user gets the quality graphic they want.”

Clean removal

Drytac launched several new products at the show, with the focus being on short-term graphics and clean removal. Jeff highlighted the Print Duo product and the SpotOn Duo tape. “Print Duo is a media line, the SpotOn Duo is a new double-sided tape designed specifically for the temporary mounting of printed media and rigid materials like styrene. The key feature of the tape is its differential adhesive: one side is permanent, while the other is a temporary, removable product. These products leave no residue and cause no paint peel or damage,” he adds.

This feature is essential for retail environments, where graphics need to be pulled down easily without damage to the wall or window. Jeff also noted Drytac’s commitment to sustainability, mentioning that they are working to provide more earth-conscious and non-PVC options in their product lines.

While the new products have enjoyed plenty of interest at the show, some of Drytac’s core offerings proved just as popular. Jeff singled out the Retac line, a perennial favourite. “Retac is a permanently peelable product that is designed primarily for wall graphics but is versatile enough for windows and floors. Its main appeal is its longevity combined with its clean removal,” said Jeff.

“In a wall graphic setting it can be up and comes down clean years later,” he continued.

I can attest to this, as I have my logo printed on Retac in my office and I have moved it around several times without residue.
