Comix.one partner with HP network for global print on demand

A new collaboration with HP Graphics Solutions Business will enable localised printing and shipping across multiple international markets.

Global print on demand capabilities are set to expand for independent comic book creators following a technical collaboration between digital platform Comix.one and HP Graphics Solutions Business. Scheduled to launch in late August 2026, the service connects the platform directly with HP international network of print service providers to produce and ship physical comic books directly to readers.

The global rollout will initially target readers across five major international markets, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union and Australia. Under the new arrangement, each printed copy is produced individually when an order is placed through the platform. By utilising regional production hubs, the partnership eliminates the need for creators to hold central inventory, significantly reducing international delivery distances and shipping costs for fans purchasing physical editions.

The integration incorporates HP Brand Centre software and HP SiteFlow application programming interfaces directly into the Comix.one backend system. This technical setup embeds the complete production workflow into the creator dashboard, allowing artists to handle pre press file proofing and automated order routing without leaving the platform. Orders are transmitted automatically to local print service providers, who handle printing, binding, packaging and dispatch.

The print on demand expansion forms part of a broader development roadmap for Comix.one, which functions as an end to end digital ecosystem for independent creators. The platform allows comic artists to distribute their original work globally while retaining full ownership of their intellectual property. The system already includes a digital back issue marketplace, a dedicated mobile reader application, and a custom crowdfunding platform featuring built in digital fulfilment. Future additions to the service will include integrated social networking tools, live streaming sales events, and reader subscription options.

Comix.one representative, Saurabh, said, ‘As a lifelong fan of comic books and now independent ones, we love the feeling of holding a physical book in our hands. Thanks to this collaboration with HP, we intend to bring stability, scalability, reliability and great customer experience to our creators and readers.’

The platform aims to provide a convenient purchasing channel for readers who missed out on initial crowdfunding runs, allowing them to purchase and collect physical copies of indie titles on demand.
